 ...beginning with the least
Click here to see where we need help right now
is a community-based organization dedicated to reaching, through support and partnership with
existing indigenous projects, the vulnerable children of this world; to give them opportunity
to be lovingly nurtured and equipped as tomorrow’s leaders. This is being done through
education, feeding programs, health care, and community and structural development, all in
the context of promoting local self-sufficiency.
Africa Connect’s primary focus is the Neema Care Centre, a free
preschool which each year supports 100 orphans and vulnerable children
living in the slum of Tuwani, outside Kitale, Kenya. Our goals, however,
reach far beyond the school, into the families of the students and
the community as a whole. We are currently offering adult literacy classes,
periodic immunization and health clinics, and have plans for a community
center that will house a clinic, computer lab, and vocational and economic
empowerment classes for the community.
...and it's only the beginning!
“Our desire is that there may be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need.”
